Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.

-psalm 1:1&2 (ESV)

Biblical meditation is creating an open and receptive heart to trust, ponder, and think upon the work the Holy Spirit might be doing in you through his word and works. Meditation involves becoming detached from the controlling and hindering influences of the world and attached to the living God through Christ that we might, through faith and transformed values, experience the sufficiency of the Savior and reach out to a hurting world in need of the living Christ. It is not an emptying of the mind, but a satiation in the things of God.
