“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true,
and righteous altogether.”

-Psalm 19: 7-9 (ESV)

It can seem trite and formulaic to say the Bible is a book of answers. Because if we’re honest with ourselves, the Bible has a lot that is difficult to understand a lot that can be hard to apply in our modern times. Despite that, we firmly believe that in the Bible we find wisdom, joy, insight, and a place of rest for the soul. More than a collection of wisdom from thousands of years ago, the Bible is the very breath and words of God and as such we can find closer intimacy with Him and greater delight in our salvation through knowing what He tells us. As a discipline, reading the Bible need not be a heavy burden. Start by devoting 5 minutes a day to read through Proverbs, or read through one Psalm a day. You may be surprised by what you learn about yourself and about the Lord when you spend time in His word.
